The Unlocking Cross-Cultural Connections: Thailand Students Language & Cultural Camp 2024 was held from April 24, 2024, to May 3, 2024, organized by Universitas Internasional Batam. This camp aimed to attract Thai students and promote cross-cultural connections among the students. The camp was a success and provided a great opportunity for students to learn about the Indonesia language, culture, and lifestyle.
The camp was organized in collaboration with Thailand schools to attract international students, especially students from Thailand, who also partnered with Batam International University. The camp provided a unique opportunity for students to interact with each other and learn about each other’s cultures. The program included language classes, cultural workshops, Batam field trips, and other activities designed to help students develop a deeper understanding of Indonesia culture and language.
The language classes were conducted by experienced teachers who taught students the basics of the Indonesia and English language. The classes were highly interactive, and students were encouraged to practice speaking Indonesia and English with their classmates. The cultural workshops covered a wide range of topics, including Indonesia cooking, dance, music, and art. The workshops were a great way for students to learn about the rich cultural heritage of Batam and experience it firsthand.
The field trips were another highlight of the camp. Students visited various cultural and historical sites in and around Batam. They also had the opportunity to visit Tanjung Pinang, the capital city of Kepulauan Riau and explore its attractions; Penyengat Island. The field trips were a great way for students to experience the local culture and interact with the local people.
Overall, the Thailand Students Language & Cultural Camp 2024 was a great success. The camp provided a unique opportunity for students to learn about Indonesia culture and language, and to interact with students from different backgrounds. The program was well-organized, and the activities were engaging and informative. We hope that more such camps will be organized in the future to promote cross-cultural connections and international understanding.
