UIB Islands Camp
This is a 10-day-program conducted by UIB for foreign students to learn about Indonesian culture and language. Batam is a city in Indonesia which is very close to Singapore and Malaysia, therefore it is easily accessed via speed boat or plane. Batam is set as industrial city by Indonesia Government, that will make students joining Islands Camp be able to do internship in any industrial area in Batam. Batam is also a multicultural city. There are many ethnics live in Batam, such as Malay, Chinese, Javanese, Sumatran, Papua, etc. Each of the ethnics brings its own culture that makes Batam unique. Participants of Islands Camp will get the opportunity to engage with the rich culture of Batam. Moreover, they will also learn to tolerate diversity in various believes in Indonesia. Batam, which is located in Riau Islands Province, is surrounded by many small islands with a beautiful natural scenery, which is perfect for excursion. In the Islands Camp program, the participants are expected to learn Indonesian language and culture as well as improving their English language in a fun and active way.

Summer Camp program is usually conducted on August every year. There are supposed to be 20-50 participants to run this program.

Winter Camp program is usually will take place on February every year. There are supposed to be 20-50 participants to run this program.
