About IRO

International Relation Office in Universitas Internasional Batam was established based on the Rector Decree No. 0568B/REK/KEP-UIB/X/2011. The main objective of International Relation Office (IRO) is to initiate, supervise, and ensure the quality of international programs at UIB. In the structure of organization, International Relation Office is responsible to Vice President for Students and Collaboration Affairs.

IRO is responsible for the process of international mobility of UIB civitas academica. International mobility includes inbound and outbound programs. Inbound program is an activity in which UIB accepts students or faculties of overseas partners, while outbound program is an activity in which UIB sends students or faculties to overseas partners.

Besides, IRO is also responsible to assist and guide students on their legal documents (stay permit) during their stay in Indonesia as well as UIB students’ legal documents during their visit or stay to overseas partner universities.

Vision:

As a department to support UIB to become a university with international quality standard by strengthening the collaboration with overseas partner universities to support the implementation of Three Pillars of Higher Education and development of science, technology, and arts in the international level.

Missions:

  1. Initiate international collaborations with prospective institutions to support the implementation of Three Pillars of Higher Education and development of science, technology, and arts
  2. Actively take part in international collaboration activities as an initiator, planner, facilitator, and executor
  3. Provide services for students and faculties to pursue education to overseas partners and other mutual collaboration activities
  4. Implement continuous and sustainable collaboration activities
