On Monday, March 08, 2024, Universitas Internasional Batam received a visit from a delegation of the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in an effort to strengthen educational cooperation between the two institutions. This visit is an important step in enhancing collaboration in education and research between Indonesia and Malaysia.

The delegation from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia was warmly received by Universitas Internasional Batam at the Grand Center. The visit aimed to explore various opportunities for cooperation, including student and staff exchanges, joint research, and the development of mutually beneficial academic programs.

During the bilateral meeting between the two institutions, intensive discussions were held to explore ways to enhance the exchange of knowledge and experience between the two institutions. Both institutions expressed their commitment to expanding existing cooperation networks and creating innovations that will provide long-term benefits for students and academics alike.

Furthermore, Vice Chancellor III of Universitas Internasional Batam, Dr. Hepy Hefri Ariyanto, welcomed the visit and stated, “We believe that the cooperation with University of Technology Malaysia will bring a positive impact to the development of higher education in this region. We hope that this cooperation will produce beneficial results for both parties.”

The visit ended with the presentation of souvenirs to strengthen the cooperation between Universitas Internasional Batam and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, marking the official commitment of the two institutions to cooperate in various aspects of education and research. It is hoped that this cooperation will bring great benefits to the academic and scientific development of both institutions and strengthen the relationship between Indonesia and Malaysia in the field of education.
