Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB) warmly welcomed a delegation of high schools from Thailand during its Open House event held from December 4th to 7th, 2023. The event offered an immersive experience of the university’s diverse study programs and showcased the vibrant city of Batam.

The Thai delegation, comprising students and representatives from various high schools, engaged in activities to introduce them to UIB’s academic offerings. The Open House featured detailed presentations on the university’s renowned study programs, faculty expertise, and state-of-the-art facilities. Attendees had the opportunity to interact with UIB professors, gaining valuable insights into the academic landscape and potential career paths.

In addition to the academic focus, UIB organised an exciting Batam tour for Thai students to experience the unique culture and attractions of the city. The time has included visiting iconic landmarks and cultural sites and exploring Batam’s economic and industrial sectors. This gave the visiting students a holistic view of the city’s dynamic environment.

Ms. Theodesia Lady Pratiwi, Head of the International Office, expressed her enthusiasm for hosting the Thai delegation. The Thai representatives appreciated the warm hospitality and were impressed by the range of academic programs UIB provides.
