On August 31, 2023, three students from different countries participating in the Darmasiswa RI Program safely arrived at Batam International University. This program results from cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) of the Republic of Indonesia, providing scholarship opportunities to foreign citizens to explore Indonesian culture and education.
The Darmasiswa students are Anastasiia Paniukova from Russia, Arko Martin from Ghana, and Francis Daniel Mbilinyi from Tanzania. They will be undertaking this program for ten months at Batam International University.
The university and the local government warmly welcomed their arrival. These students will participate in various courses, cultural activities, and social programs designed to deepen their understanding of Indonesia.
The Darmasiswa RI Program at Batam International University offers valuable opportunities for international students to learn and interact with Indonesian society. We hope they will have a meaningful experience during their stay here.
May this program enrich their educational and cultural experiences while strengthening diplomatic relations between Indonesia and the countries they represent.
