The English for Professional Communication Camp (EPCC) joined with Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malaysia, for an exceptional short course program from the 3rd to the 31st of July 2023. The collaboration brought together 13 students from the English Language Education Study Program (PBI) and 80 from UTAR, creating an immersive and enriching learning environment.

EPCC, a highly regarded short course program, focused on enhancing participants’ English language proficiency in professional communication. By integrating interactive activities, workshops, and simulations, EPCC provided a platform for students to improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, enabling effective communication in professional settings.

The collaboration with UTAR, a renowned Malaysian university known for its commitment to excellence in education, added a unique cultural dimension to the program. The partnership fostered cross-cultural exchange, allowing participants to gain insights into different perspectives and broaden their global outlook.

Participants engaged in various language workshops and group discussions throughout the four-week program. These activities were designed to strengthen their English language abilities, develop intercultural communication skills, and promote meaningful connections among the participants.

The EPCC program also offered cultural excursions that enabled the students to explore Malaysia’s vibrant heritage and diversity. They visited historical landmarks, experienced local traditions, and immersed themselves in the country’s rich cultural tapestry.

At the program’s culmination, all participants received certificates of completion, acknowledging their dedication and achievements in enhancing their English language and intercultural communication skills.

The EPCC collaboration with UTAR was a steppingstone toward building global connections and fostering effective professional communication. It created a dynamic learning environment that enabled students from diverse backgrounds to develop their language skills, expand their cultural awareness, and establish lifelong friendships.
