Eleven International Students Finished Credit Transfer Program at UIB

On January 21st and January 23rd, 2019 total 68 students from Temasek Polytechnic Singapore visit UIB for “Global Studies Trip Program”. This program aims are to encourage the students to function more effectively in today’s globalised workplace and also to give opportunity for the students to take part on an overseas study trip which provide an added exposure to become future ready and cross – culturally competent.

The first delegate of Temasek Polytechnic that come to visit UIB is from School of business. UIB considered this visit as an honour and held a seminar to all of the participant with title Reflection about The Sustainable Developmnet Goals which present by Ms.Rina Shahriyani,S.,Ph.D (Head of UIB  Law Postgraduate) and Mr.Eddy Yulianto, P.,S.E.,M.M (UIB lecturer of Management study program). Beside sharing about the sustainable developmnet  goals, on this event both representative students from UIB and Temasek Polytechnic do a presentation regarding culture and school system both in Indonesia and Singapore. On the other hand, the second visit from Temasek Polytechnic which come from School of Engineering held on January 23rd, 2019 UIB provide a seminar entitled Ushering Education 4.0 which present by Ms.Leil Badrah Zaki,S.Pd.,M.Pd (Head of UIB English Language Education study program) and Mr.Tony Wibowo,S.Kom.,M.MSI (Head of UIB Information System study program
) beside presentation from UIB lecturer, students from UIB Electrical engineering doing a presentation about their innovation named Clothes Folding Machine.

As one of the best universities in Riau Islands Province UIB always continues to strive and improve its quality and competitiveness. Chosen as the visited university by Temasek Polytechnic is one of the indicator that UIB already have good reputation among other overseas universities. “we do glad can visit UIB today.  I hope our students could learn more through this program. I also really grateful for UIB hospitality. Hopefully the good realtion between UIB and TP will continue” said Ms.Yvonne Tan lecturer of School of Business of Temasek Polytechnic.
