2017 Darmasiswa in UIB

Darmasiswa program is one of the most prominent program of Indonesian Government to give scholarship to students throughout the world to learn about Indonesia. In 2017 program, UIB is honored as one of Darmasiswa Receipient School in Indonesia. BIPA or Bahasa Indonesia untuk Penutur Asing (Indonesian for Foreigner) is one of UIB’s Program regarding International, and proudly welcome Darmasiswa Students to joins the program. In the 2017, UIB receive 4 students, they are Viktoriia Mysan and Kateryna Kolomiiets (Ukraine), Francesca Cuozzo (Italy), and Dũng Công Nguyễn (Vietnam). The 4 students will live and learn Indonesian Language and Culture for a full year in UIB.

This is also a great chance for UIB Student to learn about other’s culture, especially Italian, Ukrainian and Vietnamese. Especially for the students from English Education because they are assigned specially to become their buddy. “Batam is a very beautiful city, it has so many delicious food, especially street food, i would love to try more” Viktoriia said during orientation in UIB today, 4th September 2017.
